The proposals also cover restrictions on dark patterns, a framework for Mutual Insurance Intermediaries, and measures addressing market conduct, transparency, and digital infrastructure.
India's consumer durables market is projected to grow 8-10 per cent annually through 2030 to reach ₹3-3.25 lakh crore, according to a joint report by Boston Consulting Group and the Confederation of Indian Industry. The growth is expected to create an additional ₹40,000-50,000 crore opportunity in domestic value addition.
